If you need to be flexible when you travel, the Anytime ticket is for you. This ticket lets you make a journey at any time of the day or night (including peak times).
Anytime tickets don’t change in price, unlike Advance tickets. You can buy them up to 12 weeks in advance or just before you travel – perfect for those last-minute journeys.
When you use an Anytime ticket, it’s your choice when you travel

If you decide not to travel, because the train is delayed, cancelled or your seat reservation isn’t available, you can also claim a refund. If your journey is delayed by over 30 minutes, you can clam compensation through our Delay Repay scheme.
Anytime Tickets are refundable and there are no restrictions on the time you can travel.
If you want to change:
You can apply for a refund on your ticket and buy a new one before your trip. Nip to the Ticket Office if you’re short on time. If you decide not to travel with us, you can get your money back on all or part of your journey. Just return your unused ticket to where you bought it within 28 days of its expiry date. Anytime Tickets are refundable within 28 days of the expiry date of the ticket. There is a £10 admin charge for this.

Your Anytime Return tickets go together hand in hand – make sure you keep them safe. You’ll have to buy a new ticket if your first journey doesn’t have its unused return part. If you’ve used a Railcard to buy your ticket, take it with you when you travel. If you don’t have with you on the train, you’ll have to buy a new ticket without the discount (although, the first time you forget we’ll let you claim any additional costs back.
