Festival fever is coming to Nottingham this October. More than 20 festival and major events will be taking place throughout the month, including a celebration in the city's caves.

Highlights of the festival include:

  • Eight days of performances in the Spiegel tent – a beautiful 100 year-old mirrored tent
  • Tenth anniversary of the Hockley Hustle (9th) with 250 acts performing in 25 venues around the city
  • Thousands of varieties of beer and cider at the Robin Hood Beer & Cider Festival (12th - 15th) and Oktoberfest Beer Festival (26th - 30th)
  • The UK’s oldest travelling fair, the Goose Fair (5th - 9th)
  • Europe’s biggest cultural video gaming festival, GameCity (26th - 29th)
  • A Robin Hood celebration – including International Robin Hood Day and the Robin Hood Pageant at Nottingham Castle (29th - 30th)

The city has strong rail links, with trains available from neighbouring towns and larger cities. The station is a short walk from the city centre.

Once you're in Nottingham, it is a compact city so you can get around easily on foot or by using the tram.
